Chilly, breezy…and action packed! That’s the sort of conditions we had this Saturday night at the Little Track on the Hill. A solid crop of cars and drivers made appearances, including some first-timers, one from far, far away! It all began with…
LEGENDS
Oliver Cordell ran another swift qualifier to take the first win of the night, with Hunter Wright working his way through the field for second and his challenger in points, Justin Maxwell, hanging in for third.

2. Hunter Wright (29) 10 laps
3. Justin Maxwell (20) 10 laps

5. Bryson Shaffer (12) 10 laps
Oliver Cordell took the lead at the start of the feature and just held off the flying 29 of Hunter Wright who pressured him throughout but was unable to make the move. Justin Maxwell ended up third, with Adam Roberson fourth and Laci Minton fifth. Bryson Shaffer pranged his #12 in turn one on lap one after locking wheels with Roberson, who was able to continue, but Shaffer was done for the night. This was Cordell’s first feature win at Highland Rim Speedway!

2. Hunter Wright (29) 25 laps

In a truly epic feature, Justin Shanes–who had two near disasters on the initial starts–came back and made some nifty outside moves to snag the checkers. Joe McCloud backed up his qually win with a second, with Ronnie Binkley a troubled third. Calgary, Alberta’s Dale Edwards took fourth in his first appearance at the Rim, and Tim Vinsant was fifth.

PRO LATE MODEL
Dylan Jones led the first three laps, but in turn 2 of lap four he slid his 05 sideways, and that was all Mark Day needed to take the lead and the win. Blake Isenberg and Jake Scogin came together with damage done to the 77 car, but both came back to race later.

2. Dylan Jones (05) 10 laps
3. Jonathan Wilhite (71) 10 laps
4. Walt Garrison (5.3) 10 laps
5. Hunter Wright (29) 10 laps

It was great to see Tommy Climer back at Highland Rim with his gorgeous 05 Pro Late Model for Dylan Jones.
Mark Day endured an up and down race to take the win, but it was a near thing…on a restart Jonathan Wilhite and Hunter Wright managed to make a race of it till Wright spun and brought out a yellow, and on the restart Day took the lead he would not relinquish. Wilhite had a solid run for second, with Wright managing third. Walt Garrison finally had a mostly trouble free race and took fourth, and Dylan Jones survived a couple of spins but kept it off the wall to take fifth.

2. Jonathan Wilhite (71) 50 laps

5. Dylan Jones (05) 50 laps
ROAD WARRIORS
Josh Harrell…well that he is on a roll might be an understatement at this point! Another appearance, another race win in the qualifier over Tony Chambers and Jaclyn Barnett, who just outdragged Tony Vaughn at the line for the position.

2. Tony Chambers (43) 10 laps
3. Jaclyn Barnett (17) 10 laps
