Late Model
Stock appearing late model steel, aluminum or fiberglass bodied cars. ABC bodies and Muscle Car Bodies are legal. Minimum wheel base of 101” Towel City 10” track tires, 602,603,604 Chevy crate engines, Ford Blue Oval etc. or you can build one ( SEE RULES). Fabricated, Offset or Perimeter Chassis. Very similar to Pro Late Model rules in the south.
Open Wheel Modified
These are open wheeled race cars that have a look all their own. There is no engine rules and the chassis are stock frames with stock lower control arms, and other then that just a few other rules and get after it. This class was modeled after IMCA racing out west. These cars are FAST, LOUD, and a HANDFULL to drive make for some good racing.
Sportsman
These cars are 1968 and newer rear wheel drive. Stock appearing bodies on stock frames. Only Approved (see rule book) Sportsman aftermarket Fiberglass bodies are legal. Wedge bolts and racing shocks. These cars run the 602 Chevy crate or Spec flat top 358 cid engines. 3 speed manual or automatic transmissions. They run on the Towel City 8” track tire. These 3200 lb race cars put on one of the best shows you’ll ever see. Fender to fender, door to door, beating and banging grass roots racing. These drivers all have experience and most have moved up from other divisions.
Super Stock
These cars are mostly stock. Minimum 108” wheel base. Stock appearing bodies on stock frames with no modifications. Body side panels can be fabricated. Stock mount shocks and no wedge bolts. These cars run either a spec 358 cid engine on a 500cfm, or an open motor on a 350cfm 2 bbl. Holly carb. These cars all run automatic transmissions. They run on the 8” Towel City track tire and weigh 3400 lbs. These drivers have limited experience and aren’t afraid to rub.
Pure Stock
This class is basically all stock. They are stock 108” wheel based rear wheel drive cars. They run stock 350 engines automatic transmissions and open rear ends. There is very little that can be done to these cars. Roll cages and a few other safety features. Basically knock out the glass, gut the interior and race! Drivers in this class are limited to those that have very little if any racing experience. These cars use DOT tires street legal 14” or 15” Tires and wheels. T-Ford Recap tires are legal for this division. Maximum tire size allowed 235-70-15. Great division to participate in or watch… Side by side racing action at it’s best.
Pro 4’s
This is our elite four cylinder division. Full fabricated chassis with approved aftermarket bodies. Cars and trucks are legal. Minimum wheel base of 96 inches, 2000 & 2300 CC engines with the 350cfm Holly 2bbl carb.. They run on the 8” Towel City track tire weighing in at as little as 2150 lbs. These racers turn the oval in 14+ seconds. Drivers in this class are experienced and been racing for years and put on a very exciting show many times 2 and three wide.
Tuners
This is a fun class for racers on limited budgets and with limited experience. It is for FWD 4 & 6 cylinder cars with fuel injection, and RWD four cylinder cars on the Holly 350. The class is also open to Chevettes. These cars weigh 2150+ lbs. These cars run with a restrictor tube that keeps the action close and tight. They run on DOT traded tires, Maximum 60 series. The chassis have limited modifications with mostly stock components.
Baby Grands
2/3 scale replicas of Nextel Cup Series Stock Cars. They use a Yamaha XJR1300 engine which produces 120-125 hp. The rules are sanctioned by Pro National Series. Com. Each car’s weight of approx. 1250 lbs., means an exciting 10:1 power to weight ratio. These babies will set you back in the seat!
